Whack-a-Mole PCB
An individual project covering the whole path from schematic to a working board. The professor provided the schematic; I did the board layout in Altium, ordered fabrication, soldered and assembled the board, and wrote the microcontroller firmware.
The hardware is an Arduino Nano, which also supplies board power, plus LEDs, buttons, and a buzzer. No display. The firmware controls the LEDs, reads the buttons, and drives the buzzer for the game.
Bring-up is where it got interesting. The provided schematic had an error, which I fixed on the assembled board by breaking one connection and shorting two points together with a jumper. One solder joint was too weak and had to be reworked. The video shows the finished board running.
